“So God created man in His own image; in the image of

God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

“He created them male and female, and blessed them and

called them Mankind in the day they were created.” Genesis 5:2

Jesus said, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female?’ ”

Matthew 19:4

Jesus continued and said, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two

shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:5-6

So the penetrating question of God’s human creation is why not multiple partners or same-sex partners? Sound like a facetious question? Maybe it would 2000 years ago, but in 2004 AD when Gay marriage and civil unions are being politically advocated for even by factions of the

Church, it is a very serious moral issue. The answer is that God created us male and female to become one flesh in a unique spiritual union designed to bring us sexual pleasure and the joy of birth. The sexual organs, that God gave man and woman were meant for each other in the union of marriage.

God did not create multiple partners. God did not create a man and then a male helpmate. God did not create a woman and a female helpmate. All of these are serious perversions for the reasons already discussed. But

verily I say unto you, every Christian should heed the words of God and “let not man separate” what God Himself has joined together. He has joined a man and a woman together! That is the institution of marriage. He created marriage, man didn’t! Political attempts to alter what is marriage are direct

attacks on God’s institution. Those who advocate altering marriage put themselves in direct conflict with God. Verily I say to you, He will repay.
