The Debased Cannot Engage In Critical Thinking!

God speaks to me in many ways. One of those ways is He simply throws stuff in my face in a timely manner. In a way I just cannot ignore. It’s weird, but I love His inputs. This could be a personal conversation, a relevant experience, a book, a news article, a radio or television program,

etc. Each chapter is written with His Spirit guiding me. I have no outline and rely completely upon Him and His Word for content. In a way, each chapter is a puzzle and God supplies me with each specific piece that I need in a timely manner. God supplies each page’s content at the time I actually

need it and not before. Faith requires that I trust Him. Since I sincerely believe that He is [exists] and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently [with their whole heart] seek Him, everything works out fine. Not as I suppose it should be in life, but as He desires it to be.

The spiritual irony here is that one cannot perceive the entire truth and reality of life unless he or she possesses godly knowledge and spirituality. You can’t get to this place in your life until you literally jump into the river

[of God’s life] so to speak and experience His reality. It is, I suspect, the ultimate Catch 22 for humanity. Until you believe that God exists and you surrender your heart to Him, you’ll just be another clueless human about the total reality of our earthly existence.

I experienced God’s timely input the other night as I was going to bed. Suddenly I found my spirit leading me to turn on the television at 11:50 p.m. I tuned into the Tavis Smiley 8 show on public television in Minneapolis.

Tavis was interviewing left wing comedian and satirist Bill Maher. To say that Maher is morally debased is an understatement. One only has to listen to his diatribe and ridicule towards people of faith to grasp that fact.

What bemused me was a couple of statements that Bill Maher made. First, he said, “People of faith are not critical thinkers.” Then, in a response to Vice President Dick Cheney’s comments about Gay civil unions, he said, “When it’s close to you, Republicans understand and have compassion.” He was referring to Cheney’s lesbian daughter and his different stance on the
