Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

We entered into the discussion of woes when Jesus taught us that it

applied to everyone who causes another person to sin. If you study the word in Scripture, you will find these attributes apply to biblical woes: pain, grief, misery, trouble, death and darkness. All of the above woe warnings are pertinent to today’s churches. Many 11 will try to convince you that sexually

immoral behavior has no downside to those who claim Christ as their savior. They are wrong. There are simply too many warnings from God Himself to the contrary. It is about time the entire Church woke up and took notice.

The so-called, Episcopal churches “spirit-led” ordination of V Gene Robinson, a practicing homosexual, as bishop is an example of which the Prophet Amos is speaking to in Amos 5:18-20. Churches that sanction homosexuality in the name of God are like many apostate churches happily waiting for the “Day of the Lord.” Jumping up and down in aisles to the

cadence of an emotional music concert, I can hear their voices, at the top of their lungs, singing “Come Lord Jesus Come!” Come indeed, God says to these immoral people. The woe warning of Amos is a warning to delusional congregations who have been led to believe that their personal behaviors

have no consequences. It challenges the Christian dogma that “Jesus saves me from all my sin!” Does he indeed? A righteous God responds with this question: “For what good is the day of the Lord to you?”

This is relevant to our present discussion because God has told me that the minimum righteousness criterion trumps the mouthing of, “Jesus is my Lord!” Put another way. Do you think God rejects those who meet His minimum righteousness standard but never heard of Christ? Or do you think

God accepts those who claim Christ but do not meet His minimum standard? Hello, it’s not my word; it’s His! God’s Word teaches us that those who are sexually immoral are not even in the “minimum righteousness game.” His instructions for the “sexually immoral” trump Christ’s salvation! Salvation

does have responsibilities and I’m still talking about practitioners of sin.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall

have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8
