However, soft-core porn, which is “softer” and not so “obvious,” is

being introduced to the family video store in a surreptitious way. Soft-core porn uses actors that have name recognition like Meg Ryan. It incorporates these recognized “stars” along with pornography into a quasi movie setting so that you think you may be watching a movie. You aren’t, you are just

watching sexually immoral pornography packaged for the masses in a less obvious and offensive way. That’s so you can say you watched a [Meg Ryan, etc.] movie instead of that you watched pornography. You can also call it “lite porn” if you want, but it doesn’t matter. It is still porn and it is

still unacceptable in God’s eyes. And, it still fits His description of what is considered sexually immoral leading to the lake of fire.

Meg Ryan is the romantic sweetheart who starred with Tom Hanks in such movies as “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail.” I rented the

movie because I had generally enjoyed movies with Meg Ryan. However, I found myself watching an unadulterated porn video. Meg Ryan had moved from being America’s sweetheart to becoming a porn star. How could that have happened? I later read a comment from her where she said: “I’m not

the person whom people think I am.” No kidding! But shouldn’t there be a general announcement of the big porn switch so we can forget about such people? Isn’t it evil when someone establishes a following based upon generally clean, virtuous or morally acceptable movies and then switches to

a genre of unabashed sexually immoral pornography? Yes, it is evil and there is no doubt that such a change is designed to corrupt another audience of innocent people and confuse them about what is morally acceptable. The solution is to write these people off. Do not have anything to do with them

since they’ve revealed their true stripes. That includes renting or viewing any other movie of theirs. If they engage in evil, they are not on God’s side. Don’t support them in any way. Once again think about what Paul taught.

“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral … not even to eat with such a person.” 1 Cor. 5:11

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful [evil] works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11
