Sexual Immorality Insults God’s Grace! Heb 10:29

Note that Paul indicates that you cannot call yourself a brother or sister in the Lord Jesus Christ when you are a sexually immoral person. You could have certainly been a sexually immoral person in the past. And you might even still experience a relapse at times. But, to actively live in the

flesh in a lifestyle of sexual immorality means that you never received the Gospel of Christ. Not the one Jesus preached! Not the one Paul preached! And, not the one that I preach! Otherwise a transformation in your life away from such a lifestyle “of the flesh” would have taken place. A new person!

“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:24-25

“Therefore put to death your members, which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the

wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.” Col. 3:5-7

“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” Gal. 6:1

Our conversion to Christianity does not do away with our human sexuality. It just does away with our immoral sexuality. The latter is of the flesh while the former is still part of the Spirit and our human body design. As we shed the old man and put on the new man, we shed immoral sex and

put on moral sex. If we deny our human sexuality, we deny the wonderment of God’s body design for the man and woman He brings together in a holy marriage with a sanctified married bed. Sexuality and sexual immorality is not the same thing even if the Church is confused in various quarters on the differences. Our sexuality is good, but sexual immorality is bad.
