[19] Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her

nakedness as long as she is in her customary impurity [menstrual cycle or period].” Leviticus 18:6-19

“The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his

father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.” Leviticus 20:11

“If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s

daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness. He shall bear his guilt.” Leviticus 20:17

“If a man lies with a woman during her sickness [menstrual cycle or period] and uncovers her nakedness, he has exposed her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from their people.” Leviticus 20:18

God makes it clear that we are to abstain from sexual intercourse during a woman’s menstrual cycle. It was a serious act that led to social isolation. I’m wondering how anyone found out, but then some men just

can’t keep their mouths shut or even like to brag. God doesn’t explain why we should abstain from sex at this time of the month, but it is logical to assume that this is a special time for a woman’s health and for whose body is shedding its uterine lining. Blood flowing out of her body is not to be

contaminated by intercourse [penis or semen].

Curiously, there may even be some protective aspect for the male penis in His command. Who knows? Therefore, men should change their

love making desires for the sake of their wife’s health, as there is always a reason why God asks us to do something. Nakedness of your wife during her menstrual cycle is related directly to vaginal intercourse. This does not necessarily mean that a husband and wife cannot use alternative methods of

making love or simply just making out. That includes men simply holding their wives and forgoing direct sexual activity during this time of month.
