Then there are pop icons like Paris Hilton whose now infamous oral sex video finds a pervasive home on Internet porn sites. You start off, with

an innocent search for a star’s picture and quickly without effort wind up at a graphic porn site that boggles the mind. This is the nature of the Internet today in terms of lewdness, lasciviousness and licentiousness. The question Americans should ask themselves is this: “Are we now meant to deteriorate

into a debased and sexually immoral society, because our U.S. government cannot control the sexually immoral smut that now pervades our lives and culture?” I remember the time when porn was isolated and constrained!

There are ways to isolate and filter electronic porn and I often wonder why it is not done? One method is to assign blocks of I.P. addresses in which all adult sites must relocate to. The I.P. [Internet Protocol] address is similar to your home’s address and that is how your computer finds a site. It is a number with the format “255.255.255.255.” All web sites have such an

address. When you type in a site name like www.apostleministry.org, your computer will first contact a local DNS or Domain Name Server who may already have the actual address. If not, that server contacts a top-level server to get the numeric address. In this case, it contacts the ORG name server,

which will then return the actual address so your computer can connect.

The reason the DNS process exists is because few people could remember an actual digital numeric address. Therefore, the domain name

servers transparently translate easy to remember names into digital addresses for Internet users. If a block of I.P. numbers were used for all “adult” sites, it would be a simple matter to then electronically filter all of the smut.

Requiring “adult” sites to use a domain suffice like “xxx” does the same thing [I.E. www.thepornsite.xxx]. These two solutions eliminate the smut problem by providing effective filtering means. I know, because I am a Webmaster and I have placed thousands of pages on the Internet. I also

own and operate web and mail servers. I know how the Internet works! So, with at least two methods available to eliminate smut, what are we waiting for? Why isn’t one of these two methods or some other method used to stop the onslaught of sexual immorality throughout our society? Could it be

because large corporations are financially benefiting from pornography? Is this why the problem of porn is getting so big?
