Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

In my prayers I asked God to send me another wife who was as

righteous as Jackie. You see the same prophecy that had Jackie leaving me so early also had me remarried by age 60. It’s hard to believe, but since the first part of the prophecy actually came true I am now inclined to think the second part might also. However, I do not know for sure who this woman

will be and there are now only 14 months remaining until that birthday. This should make life a little more interesting, yet there are many unanswered questions are in my mind. The only thing I am confident about these days is God’s command to finish this book. In fact, nothing major will happen in

my life until this book is completed. God has made that fact clear to me.

In my prayers, I asked God for the following four qualities in a wife.

1. Righteousness

2. Spirituality 3. Passion 4. Humility

I slowly began to understand that one of the words I spoke in tongues was actually the not-so-obvious name of a woman I had briefly met years earlier. She was the daughter of a dear friend of mine and she fit all four of the criteria in my prayers. Once I realized these facts I started to dialogue

with God about her and I believe God told me to get a hold of her and talk. I also came to the belief that God was telling me she would be my next wife and that we would live a long life together. “Go talk to her about this Edward!” That’s the message I think I got from God.

Let’s see if I have the instructions right Lord. You want me to talk to this woman who I’ve known less than 15 minutes and whom I met only briefly about four years ago? Then You want me to tell her that we should

get together, maybe date, because You told me we are meant to be together for the rest of our lives? Hello. Anything sound weird about this? Maybe I am just a lonely middle-aged fool? Yet God persisted with me for months and I eventually relented and was able to spend three hours with the woman

who happened to be single and lived a 1,000 miles away. You have to have a sense of humor when God asks you to do something.
