WARNING: Verily I say unto you that living together as a man and

woman [as described above] without the commitment of holy matrimony is a mortal sin in God’s eyes and it will lead to a second death in the lake of fire for both of your souls. Once again, I did not make the rule; it is God that made it! Take heed unless you do not care about the eternal consequences

of your actions on this earth. If you are a parent, it is time to rethink your sanctioning of such immoral behavior on the part of your adult children. I remind you that you do not have to carp on your children about their sins, but you will be held accountable for failure to reprove your children and in

all of the ways that you support their sins. God and His Son will interpret your silence on the issue of your children’s sin as your sanctioning of sin.

A Godly Relationship Has Committed Hearts!

I was reflecting again about Adam and Eve who were totally naked in the Garden of Eden and obviously without a marriage license. However, that does not mean that they weren’t married in God’s eyes. It also doesn’t mean that they weren’t committed to each other in their relationship. The

word of God says:

“So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Matthew 19:6

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And

they were both naked, the man [Adam] and his wife [Eve], and [they] were not ashamed.” Genesis 2:24-25

It was God that joined Adam and Eve together. They didn’t need a

piece of paper called a marriage certificate to legitimize their marriage. Part of being joined together today by God is the natural characteristic and desire of each person’s heart for a commitment to their prospective partner. It is that “natural commitment” of the heart for one another, which results in a godly marriage.
