Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

Again, it is not having been lewd that crosses a line with God. It is

those who continue to practice lewdness. God forgives the homosexual or lesbian after accepting Christ, because their true and sincere repentance results in a cessation of lewdness. However, to continue to live in such a “work of the flesh” condemns one in God’s eyes no matter how much one

can utter the words “Jesus in my Lord.” It is “lawlessness” in God’s eyes and one reason why Jesus says: “I never knew you.”

Sex Choices And Vessels Of Honor & Dishonor!

It’s October 16th and during last Wednesday’s third presidential debate the question arose: “Do you think that homosexuality is a choice?” Bush answered that he didn’t know and Kerry answered that he didn’t think so. Kerry said, “These people were just being who they were; no one chooses to

be Gay.” I’m going to talk more on this subject in a moment. For now, let me say that all love is a choice from the heart and that all sex is also a choice from the heart. No human is ever forced to love another or to engage in any act of sex. To argue otherwise places the human being on the same level of

creation as that of animals. We know that this is not God’s design. It also denies the command from God that we “control” sin. Again, this is where we started and it is the central theme of this chapter. God created two!

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

God did not create several variations of the human species from a sexual perspective. He only created the male and the female, just two human sexual identities. He meant for these two sexual beings to be joined together and to become one flesh. For a man to choose another man or a

woman to choose another woman, as a mate, is to make a choice no matter how else it is portrayed in society. So, three fundamental facts are: A) All love is a choice; B) All sex is a choice; and, C) There are only males and females that make those choices. In addition, there is the issue of a vessel of honor or a vessel of dishonor. God has created human vessels of dishonor!
