Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

Jan LaRue, CWA 18 spokesperson, sums up the corporate peddlers of
porn this way. “How strange it is that these mainstream corporations would market a product that they dare not show at their annual Christmas party or at their shareholder’s convention. They cannot allow it on corporate premises or at corporate activities because they know they would risk losing
millions of dollars to claimants for sexual harassment or hostile work environment claims — and yet they’re profiting from it by putting it out there in American homes and hotels.” Woe to the corporate hypocrites!
The headline read “China Offers Rewards for Reporting Porn” 22 and seemed strange to me on this Columbus Day. China is now aggressively pursuing policies to eliminate online pornography in their country and even offers rewards of up to $240 to individuals who report pornographic web sites. Strange, isn’t it? I was born in a country founded on the morality of
Judeo Christian Scripture and yet it is a communist country that sees the evil and immorality in pornography. They shut it down and we, in the United States, fail to inasmuch pass simple laws to keep it isolated to a “warehouse” district like it was in my Minneapolis youth. Yes, the smut was still present
in the 1960’s, but it was physically isolated to certain junk parts of town. It did not pervade society in the metaphorical sense it now does electronically. The perverts were the only ones who showed up at the smut businesses in those days. Now strangely the perverts cloak their behavior and the entire
society [rest of us] is under the onslaught of porn at every turn of the head. Woe to every politician that does not take action to shut down this porn!
Lewd Is Sexual Immorality & Wickedness!
Another perspective on the three levels of sexual immorality comes
from Strong’S Concordance 23 and the modern dictionary 24. Strong’S defines lewd and lewdness as “wickedness” and assigns these characteristics to it in its Bible study list: Shameful, sexual, youthful, adulterous, filthiness and folly. Strong’S defines lasciviousness as “unbridled lust” and provides
the following Bible study list and characteristics:
