Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

There is a moral sex gate that has a path leading to Heaven and an immoral sex gate with a path that leads to Hell. Once we’ve entered the
immoral sex gate, it is like turning your car down a one-way street. It is not easy to just turn around and then retake the right path you should have taken. Yes, both paths are equated as equally valid, but astute readers of the Bible will recognize such teachings as satanic lies. Habits build up fast in the area
of sex and those around us often reinforce our sexual belief system. If that belief system sanctions sexual immorality, it will be very difficult for anyone to make a change to morality without an awful lot of energy. This is true for any major habit, but habit change takes on tougher dimensions in the
area of sex due to its bodily pleasures. Yet the Bible reminds us that we can control sin. We do not have to live with a bad choice; we can change habits!
The differences between the two sexual gateways are remarkable. The moral sex choice leads to marriage, a connected flesh, walking in the
Spirit and the God given ecstasy that comes only through the sexual freedom that is found in the marriage bed. In contrast, an immoral sex choice leads to a pseudo marriage [I.E. Gay marriage or civil unions], unconnected flesh, walking in the flesh and only a pseudo ecstasy that falls far short of what
God had intended. There is no sexual freedom from God on this pathway to Hell. Verily I say unto you that those who have entered the immoral sex gate headed towards Hell will have to expend an enormous energy to reverse the eternal destination that they have wittingly or unwittingly chosen. Yet it
can be done, because at the foundation of love and sex lies the moment- moment choices we make “to love” or “to engage in sex.” We can make a new and different choice the moment we can get our head straight and then our heart straight. Remember, choice can be as simple as a “light switch”
turned on.
It’s almost seventeen months since Jackie went to be with the Lord and His Son. I’ve often wondered how I have survived save for Jackie’s dog
Annie I’ve had to care for and this book God has me writing. Aside from that, it has been a struggle to find the zest I once had for life’s adventure. I do believe that I will find it again some day. God will restore me completely in His time, not mine. For many months after Jackie’s death, the name of a
particular woman appeared in my prayers while speaking in tongues. Quite frankly I hadn’t realized that fact for a full nine months.
