The Freedom Of Married Sex!

My friend Robert once taught me the maxim: “You make the choices and then the choices drive your life.” It is true that actions flow after you’ve made the choice. Remember it is thoughts [choices], then actions, and then emotions: that’s our normal process. When you choose only moral sex and

marriage, your choices lead to the sexual freedom found only in married love; it is devoid of the guilt and destruction found in all immoral sex.

“When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to

war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.” Deut. 24:5

“If a man is newly married, he must not join the army, nor must he be pestered at home; he must be left at home, free of all obligations for one year, to make his new wife happy.” Deut. 24:5 NJB

I certainly like the idea of bringing happiness to a new wife and not having to worry about anything else for a year. Don’t you? Of course, this isn’t all about sex, but sex is a good part of it. During the first year of

marriage, the old adage is to put a penny in the jar every time you have sex. Then, after the first year, take a penny out. The speculation is that you’ll never remove all the pennies put in during the first year. I can’t say if this is true. It may be for some couples. Yet it does raise some sex questions.

How much sex is the right amount? A lot depends upon the couple, but it is not unusual for a newly married couple to engage in sex more than once a day and every day during the first year. A lot relates to the passion of

the two lovers and whether they have found God’s sexual freedom in their marriage. Sexual freedom relates to the idea of being able to “let your body do what it naturally wants to do.” That statement should intrigue you. I’ve already talked about the autonomic and automatic penile response in males, but when it comes to the couple making love, there is more to know.
