Chapter 19: Myth—Sexuality Doesn’t Matter

taking such a parental position is being old fashioned, but has God changed? No, I’ve taught you repeatedly that this is not the case and we will all face

Him at some point. Verily I say unto you, the promiscuous nature of today’s youth is attributable to a failure of their parents and also of society at large.

I’ve got family members who are now cohabitating with a lover. I’m

sure they know where I stand on this issue, yet they are uncommitted to their partner or maybe it is the other way around. To the handsome young man I would say, “Why have you not asked the beautiful woman you are now living with to marry you? Exactly what are you afraid of when it comes to

marriage? Don’t you love and cherish this woman enough to want to spend your life and grow old with her? If not, send her away and find a woman you do want to spend your life with. If you love her, then get off your duff and marry her!” You two are engaged in a mortal sin in God’s eyes, even if it is a popular thing to do in today’s secular culture. Don’t you realize this?

To the beautiful young woman, I would say: “Doesn’t the man you live with love you enough to make you an honest woman in the eyes of the God you profess to believe in? Wake up to God’s perspective on human sex and eternalize your life and your lover’s life!”

Men have a conquering mentality. If a woman gives him everything he wants, he has accomplished his primary goal. So, why then get married? Listen, women, do yourself a favor and start being a little hard to get into the

sack. Make the next sexual encounter a biblical marriage event and you’ll be surprised at the results you’ll get with your man. I would ask this simple question. If a man doesn’t love you enough to marry you, why would you want to have sex with him? In the biblical sense, you are then engaging in

sexual immorality that has eternal consequences. In the simple human physical sense, the issue of sexually transmitted disease and even a possible death-causing sexually transmitted disease is a very real possibility today.

Let’s take a moment now to review God’s Word on the topic of living together [cohabitation] and the issue of fornication. Cohabitation in this sense means two people living and sleeping together having sex as a man and woman, however, they are legally unmarried and at the moment are

uncommitted for eternity in God’s eyes.
