That is a perfect illustration of what happens when a person’s spirit is

with you. Paula knew that her mother kept an immaculate house and could always spot any crumbs on the carpet. In fact, her eyes were able to see dirt that I could not see. For me, everything is out of focus at five feet. I think Jackie was blessed with 20/10-vision. Paula found herself in her mother’s

kitchen cooking and feeding the grand kids at her mother’s table. Suddenly she began to see things as her mother’s eyes would see them. She took on Jackie’s perspective and found herself wanting to live up and fulfill her mother’s expectations. Paula wanted to please her mom even though she is

with the Lord and His only human begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

I’ve found myself doing the same thing. In 39-years of marriage, I learned a lot about Jackie’s expectations; what she loved and hated. I find I want to please those I love, even when they are no longer with me. This is

the way Christ’s spirit works. When it is inside us, it has us wanting to please God Almighty.

I’ve talked about this stuff before. This phenomenon occurs with

those who are truly “in Christ.” Once your heart has made the transition to righteousness, Christ’s spirit inside of you causes you to see things from God’s perspective. Suddenly you want to know what He loves and hates. You then want to please God so you get your act straight and obey what He

tells you to do. Jesus said that those who are his brother and sister do the will of his Father. We know what that will is, because God pours His Spirit out upon all who are “in Christ” in abundance.

If you do not find yourself actively wanting to please God Almighty and obey Him, at all times, it only means that you are not truly saved. You do need God as a part of your decision-making processes. If you don’t take into consideration His perspective, His character, what He loves and what

He hates — you most certainly lack wisdom. And it is obvious you do not have wisdom’s reason controlling the actions of your heart. In fact, your body impulses are not bridled by reason, as they should be in those who claim to know God.
