are just two of countless examples of what had appeared righteous was really lawless. Don’t get duped by outside appearance; consider the inside.

“Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” Matt. 23:28

The lesson is simple. You cannot drop your guard down just because something appears wholesome on the surface. And, once you realize you’ve been duped, you must move on and not continue to support such evil. In fact, as I taught in chapter 16, evil people who disguise themselves as good

people are now abundant in the Church. Satan has had 2,000 years to infiltrate the Church with his servants and there are now many in disguise.

“And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty

which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us [back] into bondage).” Galatians 2:4

“For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago

were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and [His Son] our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:4

“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves [evil people] that will tear you apart.” Matthew 7:15 NLT

A huge issue involved in this “switching sides” is Satan’s strategy of confusing us and blurring the lines of distinction between what is good and evil. Would something originating from [or starring] a person who you’ve grown to like, because of their prior works, be part of evil? Yes, they could

be. That is one of the strategies of Satan today. Hence, there are people throughout society that proffer what appears to be good. You had better get accustomed to looking a little deeper into everything they peddle and get ready to stop sin at any time. Satan is building up what appears to be good

people waiting for the day to bring more evil into our lives. This is a time to be vigilant about all forms of sin. Don’t follow a modern day piper of sin.
