I sent a packet of information to Mac Hammond at Living Word in

Brooklyn Center. Church officials requested a meeting with me. One of my friends warned me that I should take someone with me so I took my friend Dean. At the time I was called into the meeting, they tried to prevent Dean from joining me. I said there was nothing to talk about if Dean couldn’t

attend. They relented and let him in. Then for the next half hour proceeded to educate me on my spiritual ignorance and why I needed to drop this issue. Yes, that is right, Living Word Church as the District overseer of AFCM Ministries was not interested in righteousness when it came to this theft.

They like civil authorities wanted to bury the entire issue. “Let God deal with it.” Hello. Anyone home? If you are truly called into ministry, do you not think that righteousness should matter to you? Jim Kaseman sent me a letter and said: “I would appreciate it if you would not use my name or the name of AFCM.” Well Jim, you and the AFCM are a part of Matthews’ lie.

In late 1998, a foreclosure notice appeared in the Sherburne County Citizen paper. It was the AG District Office foreclosing on Matthews.

Matthews settled with the Minnesota District Assembly of God Office for $90,000 on November 1, 1996. He didn’t have money so he backed the debt with property adjacent to the church. Matthews couldn’t pay up so the District Office foreclosed on the property Matthews used as security.
