Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

I am not alone in seeking to get close to God. Drawing near to God is

the objective of many sincere believers. As I changed denominations and churches, I was not aware of actually getting closer to God until I made the move from the UCC church to the Alliance church. That was a very clear move in my mind that got me closer to God, because one church supported

what the Bible taught in its Scriptures and the other didn’t. So, at the time, I knew I was moving closer to God and there was little doubt about it. I had a similar awareness of moving closer to God in the new worship experience at Living Faith Center. For the first time in my life, I was allowed to express

myself in the form of individualized worship from my spirit to God’s. This was a clear move closer to God. It was the same with tongues, lifting up of hands, kneeling prayer and water baptism. Each act took me closer to God.

As I got deeper into Pentecostal and Word of Faith churches, I did not

have the same awareness. The thought of moving closer to God via a church change started to become an illusion. Listen—don’t you think Satan knows you might want to move closer to God? Sure and guess what, Satan has a perfect church for you. In the Bible sense, there are really only two basic

church zones. Bible believing churches and non-Bible believing churches.
