Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

Verily I say unto you, it is my testimony that William Neal Matthews

exhibited virtually every one of the above nine traits identified by Jesus. Yes, Satan is alive and well in today’s church. How will you know if you are sitting in a church of Satan instead of God given the fact that both will appear righteous to you? Here are some basic questions to answer.

1. Does the church stand for all biblical truth or does it selectively choose which biblical truth it likes while ignoring others? 2. Whose definition of righteousness is being used? God’s or men?

3. What exactly is going on behind the scenes inside the church from a governance and ownership perspective? Does one person or one family basically own and legally control the church? 4. Are there two classes of citizens in church by-laws? One with voting rights and the other without voting rights?

5. Does a board of deacons composed of men and women who know God’s Word supervise the pastor? Is the board independent and only accountable to the congregation or is it a lapdog of the pastor doing his or her bidding?

6. Does the church teach that God is a slot machine and all you need to do is call on the “anointing” to get what you want in life? 7. Does the church bring you closer to men’s ways or God’s ways?

The clearest sign that you are in a church of Satan is when teaching is obviously opposite of what is written in the Bible. Now, listen, if you and I are looking at a blue sky and I tell you that the sky is azure blue in color and you look up thinking that it is more of a baby blue color, does the difference

matter? No, it really doesn’t. There are many times when a teaching can take on some subtleties and a clear case of apostasy is not taking place. On the other hand, what if we both looked at the same sky and I told you that it was red. Would you then believe it? Of course not. Yet that is exactly what

people do when they stay in a church that teaches opposite of God’s Word and they know it. They do not challenge it even when they possess first hand knowledge knowing it is false. What is this first hand knowledge they possess? It is their very own experiences reading the Holy Bible. We base

our entire salvation on statements in this book. Why not be obedient to what it tells us? Want some easy examples to consider? Okay, here are a few.
