Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

information when we learn about a product in any newspaper, television or radio story. In short, we believe there is more objectivity to the information about the product because it does not come directly from the company. In contrast, many such stories are staged so the information can get into our

minds, which now easily rejects an “obvious ad.” In fact, companies are directly behind these news campaigns. Disappointed? Don’t be, it is just one more way our minds are manipulated. Advertisements themselves are getting incredibly creative just to capture our attention. Some of them are

ingenious. However, the ability of those ads to generate sales is low due to our information overload, even if we do enjoy a one-minute anecdote.

Satan is alive and in all of the churches to some extent or another and tries to manipulate your mind at every opportunity. Yet, verily I say to you

this fact: “Your mind cannot be manipulated away from the truth of God’s Word when you actually have first hand knowledge of that truth.” It means that you must read the Bible yourself and hold everyone accountable to what it says. Leave any church that contradicts “obvious” Bible truth. Anything

less and you are easily manipulated and controlled like a ringed-nosed cow.

Christ’s own ministry was not immune from the influence of Satan. Consider that Judas Iscariot was a servant of Satan who masqueraded as a

righteous man amongst Christ’s apostles. And consider these words of Jesus Christ. Who do you think Christ was talking to, Peter or Satan? Jesus was speaking to Peter, but his rebuke was directed towards Satan. Peter was just the human instrument Satan was using as a front for his thoughts at the time.

Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23 NIV

Both God And Satan Influence Man!

Wondrous thoughts from God flow into our minds, but Satan also tries to get in and influence us. So, how do you know if it is God or Satan?
