Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

As a businessman myself, I had made several filings with the state. It

was only a matter of making a request and sending a small payment and I could obtain a copy of all of the church filings. It was April 3, 1998 when I examined Matthews’ Article filings. The depth of his swindle was obvious and breathtaking. I had attended every one of the business meetings and all I

saw in the state filings were one lie after another sworn under oath to state officials with the penalty of perjury. God knew the evil that Matthews had planned so He planted an apostle into the church as a witness. I had no idea when God sent me to the Elk River Assembly of God Church that this is

where it would all end. I was the only church member who understood what Bylaws and Articles were about and how they impacted governance of the church. Suddenly I became a sleuth.

I asked AFCM if Solid Rock Church was affiliated with them. They

faxed back this resolution from William Neal Matthews’ dated 11/7/96.

So, on September 12, 1996, members vote to change from Assembly of God affiliation to AFCM affiliation. I ask Matthews in October if we were an AFCM Church. He says yes. Then on November 7, 1996 he files a resolution with the AFCM to “disaffiliate.” That means eight weeks after

the members voted to affiliate, he sent a resolution to disaffiliate. I can tell you that a business meeting was not held on November 7, 1996 except perhaps with Matthews and his cronies. Why should there be? It was a full year earlier that he took the voting rights away from the congregation even if

none of us knew it. Think it can’t get more interesting? You’re wrong.
