Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

A good swindler executes various events in such manner that they do

not seem to be connected in any way to one another. The swindler would do this over a long enough period of time so as not to draw any attention to the con he was working. The longer the time the more obtuse and difficult it is to understand the various events and their connection to one another. In

other words, the dots [events] become more difficult to connect over time or to associate with each other. If the swindler is very successful, those being swindled with never become aware of the con. If the swindler is somewhat successful no one will know until it is too late to do anything about the con.

In many cases, the con artist leaves town before the con becomes exposed.

The average person being swindled only sees a bunch of disconnected dots like those in the graphic below. They may be multiple colors and not obviously related to one another. Each dot represents a key event that needs

to be executed by the con artist for the swindle to become successful.
