Myth—God Owns Solid Rock

We live in an age where access to knowledge and information is made

incredibly easy. Take any subject you want to learn more about and head to the Internet with your computer. Don’t have one? Go to the library and use one of theirs. Spend a day or two and maybe as little as eight hours and you can become more knowledgeable in any one-subject area than most experts.

This is especially true in complex areas such as medicine and law. They have become so incredibly complex and vast in terms of knowledge that tiny bits of these industries are now broken down into specialty practices. That is why some medical doctors only treat eyes, feet, noses, ears, etc. Go ahead

and name any body part; you will find a specialist in it. That is why you are shuffled from one doctor to another if you are seriously ill.

You will also find highly specialized lawyers who work in real estate, divorce, bankruptcy, etc. The days of the general practitioner are long gone

simply because the volume of information now exceeds what any one person can reasonably be expected to deal with. You don’t go to a family doctor for brain surgery. You don’t go to a real estate lawyer to help you with export laws. However, instead of easy access to information freeing our people, as

logic would dictate, the information overload is shutting people’s minds down. The sheer volume of news and information are resulting in us relying increasingly upon second hand knowledge to formulate our opinions. The limited time families have also results in their reliance upon what is simply

said in the news or spoken from the pulpit. In essence they rely on hearsay.

Therefore, even though access to first hand knowledge has never been easier, it has also never been so ignored. Verily I say unto you that there has

never been a time when people were so easily manipulated by the media and ministries. This is difficult to believe until one realizes that we are not just relying upon second hand sources, we are also formulating our opinions on that second hand knowledge. I have said do not just believe what I say in

this book, believe the Scriptures I cite and only after you look them up for yourself in the Bible. Yet, if you are like a lot of programmed Christians, a pastor can simply tell you not to read this book and that is all you will need to form an opinion about it. That is how easy it is to manipulate Christians

today from the pulpit. But would you be surprised if I also told you that you were just as easily manipulated in news stories?
