You cannot simply postulate a biblical doctrine that contains

loopholes and exceptions. If you do, you are not talking about what God does; you are talking about what man does. Let’s compare the character attributes of God that Miles identifies against Holy Scripture.

Item 1. God changing? Answer: No!

“For I am the Lord, I do not change.” Malachi 3:6

Item 2. God repenting? Answer: No!

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent.” Numbers 23:19

Item 3. God needs a way to fail? Answer: No!

“Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19

Item 4. God talking to Himself? Answer: No!

“For I [Jesus] have given to them the words which You [God] have given me [Jesus]; and they have received them,

and have known surely that I [Jesus] came forth from You [God]; and they have believed that You [God] sent me.” John 17:8

Item 5. God committing suicide? Answer: No!

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?’ that is, ‘My God,

my God, why have You [God] forsaken me [Jesus]?’ ” Matthew 27:46
