imagining the idea of three-in-one. St. Patrick supposedly used the shamrock to explain the trinity to the first Irish Christians. Ice, water, and steam are three states of the same compound. The three sides of a triangle comprise one geometric figure. A person consists of body, soul and spirit.

Yet, any one of these or the many other illustrations does nothing more than hint at the idea.”

“The biblical evidence that compels Christians to adopt the trinitarian

position consists of passages that treat each person of the trinity as equally divine and passages that persistently group the Father, Son, and Spirit together. It’s easy to agree that the Father is God (Rom. 1:7; Gal. 1:3). The evidence for the full deity of Jesus also permeates the New Testament (John 1:1, 18; Heb 1:3, 8; Rev. 22:13). The New Testament says less about

I believe John Hagee presents the best thoughts on the trinity doctrine from an orthodox trinitarian Christian perspective. He seeks to back up the

doctrine with twenty-five cited scriptures. So, let’s examine every single Scripture citation to see if support for the trinity doctrine really exists. Get your Bible out now and turn to Romans 1:7, which is Hagee’s first citation.
