The wealth of information available to us today on Christianity is

staggering. That also includes the Internet as a virtual library on Christian apologetics. However, when it comes to Christian teachings, orthodoxy pervades the dialogue and the rationalization of the trinity is at the top of the list. Consider the following statements and lists (I – III) that rationalize

Jesus as God. The lists shown below are part of a dialogue entitled “The True Jesus.” The information was obtained online at a Christian web site.11 My comments are shown below each list. Look up the scriptures.

I. The Jesus of the Bible is prayed to

1. Acts 7:55-60* 2. Psalm 116:4** 3. Zech. 13:9** 4. 1 Cor. 1:1-2*

*Calls on the name of Jesus vs. “prays to” **Prayer is to Yahweh and not Jesus [Lord v. Lord]

The Internet writer misrepresents the above-cited scriptures by his

opening line of “The Jesus of the Bible is prayed to.” Even if there were many verses indicating that Jesus was prayed to, does this alter whom Jesus taught us to pray to? Many people, wowed by Jesus’ miracles, must have thought that he was God. No doubt they prayed to him just like modern day

groupies worship at the feet of rock idols and other stars. That is human nature when it operates in a worldly mode. Who did Jesus say to pray to? Jesus taught us to pray to God the Father. It doesn’t matter what the crowd does, it only matters if we do what we are taught [that we obey]. Consider

Jesus’ words.

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will

reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6

Jesus Taught — Pray to the Father [your God]!
