Alpha & Omega Scripture Analysis
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Rev. 1:8
In a red letter Bible, the above verse is in red indicating it is Jesus speaking. Is Jesus the Alpha and Omega? A brother in Christ Jesus, Bryn Hendrickson13, provided an analysis of the Alpha & Omega scriptures. I knew it came from God through Bryn because of its precise timing and the
Spirit’s confirmation of truth to me. Would someone alter the red lettering of the Bible? Or, is Jesus speaking for God and not for himself? Let’s examine John’s Revelation closer. Here are Bryn’s basic conclusions.
To enhance the context of Rev. 1:8, let’s back up to Rev. 1:4.
“John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To him [Jesus] who loved us and washed us from our sins in
his own blood, and has made us kings and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he [Jesus] is coming with clouds, and every eye will see him, even they who pierced him. And all
the tribes of the earth will mourn because of him. Even so, Amen.” Rev. 1:4-7
Notice who John says the greeting comes from. It comes from,
1. Him who is and who was and who is to come; and from, 2. The seven Spirits who are before His throne; and from, 3. Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn …
