Chapter 10: The False Trinity Doctrine

In other words, the fact that you believe in Jesus means that you must
also believe in God. It does not mean that you believe that Jesus is God. It means that you also believe in “Him who sent Jesus.” It is a spiritual reality that belief in Jesus as God’s Son translates into a belief in God the Father. If you believe in Jesus who was sent, you also believe in God who sent
Jesus. It is nothing more than what you do when the pizza delivery guy arrives at your front door. Do you not also believe that the pizza shop owner exists? Do you not also believe that the pizza shop sent the delivery person? Why this is so complicated to many Christians I do not know.
Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in me, believes not in me but in Him who sent me.” John 12:44
Belief In Jesus Acknowledges That God Exists!
Jesus is making it clear in the above verse that you exercise belief in God Almighty when you believe in God’s Son. Have you ever heard the saying, “He looks like his father?” Have you ever read the line that we are
created in God’s image? Immediately after the above verse, Jesus adds:
“And he who sees me sees Him who sent me.” John 12:45
Indeed many sons look exactly like their fathers. Jesus’ words in John 12:45 are not teaching people that he, Jesus, is God. Instead, Jesus is using a spiritual metaphor indicating that you needn’t look any further than Jesus for what God has to say. Jesus is also providing us with the spiritual insight that
those who see Jesus also see God. In other words, our spirits are connected to both Jesus and God Almighty. We are “plugged in” spiritually and we see the source of all truth. We also recognize that the Son is part of the family.
Yet many Christians think that this verse means that Jesus is God. It doesn’t! If it did, then you would have to conclude that Jesus is not telling the truth in John 10:29; John 14:28; and John 20:17 as shown above. Hearing Jesus was both hearing & seeing God metaphorically speaking.
