I imagine you might have just picked this book off of the bookshelf and turned directly to this chapter. After all, doesn’t this chapter represent a really big issue for you and all of Christianity today, when it comes to God Almighty? Is Jesus really God in the flesh like so many teach today? If we

worship Jesus, are we engaged in worshipping God Almighty or are we actually committing idolatry by worshipping a false god?

And God spoke all these words, saying:

[3] “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

[4] “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above, or that is in the

earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”

[5] “You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity

of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”

[7] “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” Exodus 20:3-7

Maybe you listen to Charles Stanley [see p185] and other teachers today who state that you “cannot obey the Ten Commandments.” Therefore, you no longer care about God’s Ten Commandments. If so, stop right here

as you are one of those whom Jesus is talking to when he said, “I never knew you.” If you want to hold onto such a belief, nothing I can write here will change your mind.

You see the first aspects of the trinity conundrum you are confronted with are the words of God as shown above. There is only One God!
