II. The Jesus of the Bible is worshipped 1. Matthew 2:2 2. Matthew 2:11 3. Matthew 14:33

4. Matthew 28:9 5. John 9:35-38 6. Hebrews 1:6

That Jesus is worshipped cannot be denied. In part, it is explained in the previous paragraph. Hebrews 1:6 —commands that angels shall worship Jesus upon his return! Who did Jesus tell us to worship? If we claim Jesus as our savior, shouldn’t we actually obey Jesus? Consider his words.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

The Bible expounds further on whom to worship with these verses.

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the

flesh.” Philip. 3:3

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship

God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.’ ” Rev. 19:10

The testimony of Jesus is that his God is real and that we will face

either eternal salvation or eternal damnation. Jesus did not come here pretending to be God. Neither did he teach us to worship him. Worshipping Jesus is the epitome of Christian mythology. It is also idolatry.
