Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

If you want a simple message of life from the Bible, it is Apostle

John’s teaching that bringing your baby into the world will bring you joy. You don’t have to have everything just right before you give birth. I don’t recall anyplace in the Bible where you should first get established with a home, a car, a savings account, a college fund for each prospective child, etc

before you and your spouse have a baby. The only thing you need is love in your heart for that child. Children raised in abject poverty can still rise to untold heights of achievement. It happens all the time and the Horatio Alger stories are a testament to this reality.

I remember living in the projects of north Minneapolis in 1959. The family next door had six kids and the mother was pregnant once again. We were all living in poverty so I asked the mother, “How can you have another child given your financial situation?” Her response to me was: “If there is

room in the heart, there will be room in our family.” She is right. It’s all about the heart and who has room [love] in it and who doesn’t. Got love?

Tiny Gabriel’s message from God is simple for anyone to understand.

Compassion and mercy must be given to the most defenseless members of society to protect their lives. There is no human in need of more protection than a tiny baby inside a mother’s womb. The reason baby parts are more valuable 1 when “processed” v. “unprocessed” is because of the tiny [almost

microscopic] nature of those baby parts at an early age. See above photo. If you abort a baby, its tiny body will be dissected at the cellular level and used in countless evil experiments. This is not love, compassion or mercy!

“As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear Him.” Psalm 103:13 NRSV

“The Lord is good to all, and His compassion is over all

that He has made.” Psalm 145:9 NRSV

“The compassion of human beings is for their neighbors, but the compassion of the Lord is for every living thing.”

Sirach 18:13 NRSV
