Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

The Fear Of The Lord Is Hatred Of Evil!

“The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.” Proverbs 8:13 NRSV

Those who fear the Lord have gained wisdom and understanding. God is a friend of those who fear Him. His eyes are on those who fear Him. The Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. In fact, unless you have a sincere fear of God, you do not have any relationship with Him. I have

discussed this issue earlier and how it relates to “perfect love” which casts out all fear. Wisdom and understanding begins when you have an earnest fear of God. It is the kind of fear that gives you a healthy respect and concern for actually obeying God’s laws and His rules. That is the fear of

God that Jesus is talking about in Matthew 10:28. That is the reality of a true repentance of the heart, because it is a belief within the heart unto righteousness based on the fear of God. In other words, you truly believe God is real and you understand in your heart there are eternal consequences

for bad earthly behavior. This is, in essence, what actually gives you reason to behave yourself in a godly manner while on this earth. Think about it.

who practice it have a good understanding.” Psalm 111:10 NRSV

“The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and

He makes His covenant known to them.” Psalm 25:14 NRSV

“Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on

those who hope in His steadfast love.” Psalm 33:18 NRSV

“As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear Him.” Psalm 103:13 NRSV
