Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

What about the case where a woman is artificially inseminated with

10 embryos with the hope that one takes, but they all do? Should the woman be expected to carry all of them to term? No, it would put her life in danger. Whenever man has intruded onto God’s sacred ground, he has created many such problems. Here is a novel question. If a woman cannot conceive, what

makes her think she was supposed to? Cruel question? Maybe. But I am mindful of Scripture where God has closed and opened wombs without the benefit of doctors, sperm banks and artificial insemination technology. Who knows the reasons why some women have no children, some have one child

and others have many. This is where true faith comes into play. There are always reasons why these things occur, but today we grow impatient and we want what we want when we want it. That certainly pertains to children.

The ultimate lifestyle abortion recently occurred in New York by a

34-year old woman 18 who found herself pregnant with three babies. In this case she had not seen a fertility expert, but had simply gone off birth control pills. She had a set of twins in her womb and a third baby estimated to be three days older than the twins. She decided it was her choice to engage in a

practice called selective reduction. Since she only wanted one, she aborted the twins and carried the third to full term. To abort the twins, the doctor injected a shot of potassium chloride into the hearts of those two babies.

In her own words, Miss Richards says: “Peter asked, ‘Shouldn’t we consider having triplets?’ And I had this adverse reaction: ‘this is why they say it’s the woman’s choice, because you think I could just carry triplets. That’s easy for you to say, but I’d have to give up my life.’ Not only would

I have to be on bed rest at 20 weeks, I wouldn’t be able to fly after 15. I was already at eight weeks. When I found out about the triplets, I felt like: It’s not the back of a pickup at 16, but now I’m going to have to move to Staten Island [from Manhattan]. This is the epitome of the lifestyle choice abortion and it is happening all too often now because many women believe its okay to kill their babies.
