Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

If you were able to check anyone of the thirty-nine signers of our Constitution or the sixteen other Founders who did not sign the Constitution,

as a supporter of abortion, send me a letter and explain your basis for what I would consider as the actions of a person ignorant of history. Honestly, on July 4, 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed, do you think these Founders were thinking about granting women the right to kill their

babies as they started to draft the U.S. Constitution?

Our Founders wrote: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain

unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” The United States Founding Fathers believed our CREATOR God created us with certain rights. Among those rights is the right to life! Yet, many ignorant people now argue that the child in the womb has no right to life, unless the mother grants it? Hello. Women are trying to usurp God’s

authority! Our Founding Fathers knew the CREATOR and would be appalled at how society is trying to eliminate the Constitution’s moral foundation.

Eleven years after that bold declaration, the U.S. Constitution was

signed on September 17, 1787. At least one author 7 has written a book that argues our Founding Fathers created a “secular” Constitution fashioned after the Virginia Constitution 8. That our Constitution is a secular document cannot be disputed. However, that does not mean it was based on an

immoral or amoral Virginia Constitution. A simple review of the Virginia Constitution dated June 29, 1776 reveals the following in Section 16.

“SEC. 16. That religion, or the duty which we owe to our

CREATOR, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is

the mutual duty of all to practice Christian forbearance, love and charity towards each other.”

The U.S. is based on Christianity and God’s morality! Our Founders

knew God gave us a free will and required a choice from our heart. It means evil people, but it does not mean an evil society. They knew the difference!
