Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

Genesis 9:6 should not engender some kind of debate. God created us

in His image. God told us to ‘beget’ children. God told us not to shed any innocent blood. God told us not to sacrifice children. Listen carefully! Perk up, as the next question is critical. Are not these simple teachings from God His eternal characteristics? Doesn’t abortion run counter to His commands?

He has not changed. It is human rationalization that tries to alter His Word.

A Perspective On Love, Compassion & Mercy!

The picture 31 at the right is of a 6-week old

fetus. You can observe the head, eyes, hands and tiny fingers in this 1/2 inch 1/2 ounce baby. If you go back to page 706, you will again learn that this baby already has a four chambered heart and

nostrils. That beside fingers, toes are now forming and reflex activity has begun with the development of the brain and nervous system. Electrical brain waves have been recorded around

this point in development. Do you still think this is just a glob of tissue suitable to be sucked out of the woman’s womb with a vacuum device?

Most women will not even realize that they are pregnant and “with child” until after the baby has become at least this age and is well on its way to full development. However, most abortions

occur after this point and it is clearly the murder of human life at the altar of “woman’s choice.” If you offer compassion and mercy in this life, God will give you compassion and mercy.

“But the woman whose son was alive said to the king — because compassion for her son burned within her —

‘Please, my lord, give her the living boy; certainly do not kill him!’ ” 1 Kings 3:26 NRSV
