Myth—Abortion Doesn’t Matter

Life Belongs To God And Not Mankind!

Isn’t embryonic research just another Frankensteinian science project? It might not involve the digging up of graves as in Mary W. Shelley’s novel Frankenstein 4 and its numerous movie incarnations, but the scientific goals in regards to the “creation of life” are nonetheless similar. Frankenstein’s

willful destruction of human life to gain body parts is a relevant story idea. The scientific arguments for humanity’s benefits are no doubt also similar. But life belongs to God and not mankind. Society should collectively get back to respecting human life from the moment of our conception until the

moment of our natural death. Science should not be involved in the willful creation of human life or the willful destruction of human life in the guise of benefiting human life. If you support any embryonic research, you do not respect God; you profane His Holy name. Further, you do not know God!

“Know that all lives are Mine; the life of the parent as well as the life of the child is Mine.” Ezekiel 18:4 NRSV

Not only does all human life belong to God, but also there is life in the human blood, and that blood-life belongs to the soul. We learn this soul fact in Genesis 9:4-7 by reading The Stone Edition of the Tanach and its Hebrew rendering 22 of Torah Scripture. Its commentary reinforces WHO owns life.

[4] “But flesh; with its soul its blood you shall not eat. [5] However, your blood which belongs to your souls I will demand, of every beast will I demand it; but of man, of

every man for that of his brother I will demand the soul of man. [6] Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man. [7] And you, be fruitful and multiply; teem on the earth and

multiply on it.” Genesis 9:4-7 TAN

The Stone Tanach commentary 23 on Genesis 9:1 reads: “The words ‘Be fruitful and multiply’ will be repeated in verse 7. Here it is a blessing that the human race would be prolific; there it is a command to beget

children (Rashi).” Copyright 2005 Edward G. Palmer, All Rights Reserved. Book of Edward—Chapter 18
