The church presumed he was guilty and never sought the actual facts. The church business manager and assistant pastor showed up at court and

listened to a coerced false confession. Even though the public defender said it would be over fast for him without trouble, Chuck spent several weeks in jail and was abused by law enforcement officials as a sex pervert. He later died a broken man on the floor of his trailer having lost what little honor he

had as a poor man. For a person that loved children, Chuck died a convicted sex offender in Minnesota because of a legal system that lies and a church that was unrighteous in its service to poor people.

“You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be

partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.” Lev. 19:15

God commands us to be impartial and Pastor Matthews committed sin

in God’s eyes when he failed to consider Chuck’s side of the story showing preference to Gwen. The most striking issue though with justice is the fact that the public defender asked Chuck to lie. He didn’t just ask him to lie; he pressured him to lie to “take the easy path with the court and put the matter

behind him.” It was an easy case for the County Attorney and another notch on his prosecutorial belt. The big lesson is: Don’t expect justice when you won’t stand up for righteousness. Also, when the court’s appointed public defender asks you to lie, make sure you tell the truth and tell the judge that

you are being asked to lie by the court appointed attorney.

Injustice occurs because the system seeks winners and losers and not justice. Otherwise, you would not have public defenders advising their

clients to lie so it would be easier on the County Attorney. In the case of the pastor, he’ll get a chance to explain himself. That much I am sure. As will the business manager and assistant pastor who also ignored the truth.

The third example of injustice was my own experience in the court seeking a remedy to the theft of Solid Rock Church that I witnessed. This was a lesson in our justice system that I’ll never forget. Do you remember where I left off in the story? I was expecting to be fined? You can get the
