On December 15, 1973, “The American Psychiatric Association … approved a resolution calling for ‘civil rights’ legislation … that would

ensure homosexual citizens the same protections guaranteed to others.”

At the end of 1973, the American Psychiatric Association approved a resolution calling for “Gay civil rights.” You learned on p550 of chapter 16,

that the church itself was actively engaged in promoting Gay and lesbian relationships by 1982. Immoral people seeking to rationalize their immoral behavior under the guise of the “morality of rights” or the “Rights of Man” Democratic political doctrines had permanently breached the mores that the

United States was founded on. Can this moral breach be repaired?

In the midst of both the “prayer” and “abortion” Court decisions were worldwide calamities that threatened the massive destruction of mankind. Is it any different today? No. In fact, you can almost bet that throughout our

lives that “wars and rumors of wars” along with their anxieties will plague humanity. It is meant to be. However, abandoning our moral foundation is a political option for U.S. society. We do not have to allow our society to degenerate into a totally debased society. Yet, morality is a political will

that needs to be exercised to stop the decline. Politics does matter!

Jesus said: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to

pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6

Being faithful to God is not a matter of pretend public behavior. If we don’t vote politically to support His will, we are unfaithful in the most naked

sense before Him. You can’t expect Jesus to be your advocate before God Almighty if you secretly vote for immoral political parties and candidates. Your “public” persona will not stand His “heart test” at judgment time.

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?” Luke 16:10-12
