The “Moral Values” issue is reflected in what the Democrats want for our society. As an exercise, put the numbers 1-14 on a piece of paper and go ✔ back to the prior list of fourteen items. Put a mark against any number on ✖ your paper that you think is a valid “moral values” issue. Now put a “ ” mark next to any number that you think would be a valid “moral values” issue with God using His perspective. Clearly God has a different opinion than a lot of Democrats. One perspective God has is about family support.

Yes, rugged individualism didn’t just start with Republicans. It is fundamental biblical truth! What does this mean in practical terms for our

society? It means we take care of our elderly parents and we do not just shove them off on government programs. Some of my Democratic friends believe it is “moral” to siphon off parental assets and then shove their parents onto government Medicaid programs. It is immoral. When Jackie’s

mom entered the final four years of her life, it was Jackie and I that cared for her. We would not shove her off to a nursing home or attempt to hide her assets for personal gain. Yet to some Democrats, this is their “moral” right.

Every able-bodied person in a household should be working to help support that family’s needs in every respect. It means that pregnant unwed teenagers are supported at home and not shoved onto government welfare programs needlessly. It means if men father a child, they should take care of

that child and its mother. It is their moral duty in God’s eyes. It means that we are all “morally” obligated to take care of our own family members.
