A new Democratic Administration, like its predecessors, will once again look beyond material goals to the spiritual meaning of American society. … The new Democratic Administration will help create a sense of national purpose and higher standards of public behavior. … In this spirit,

we hereby rededicate ourselves to the continuing service of the Rights of Man everywhere in America and everywhere else on God’s earth.”

Clinton’s idol, you might understand why Clinton spent the first two weeks of his own presidency focusing on advancing the Gay rights agenda. After all, it was a “Rights of Man” issue in his eye. Clearly as we entered the fall of 1960, there was a renewed emphasis on individual rights. Given the

racial tensions I witnessed, there should have been. Yet, I don’t think that Jefferson was of the mind that the rights of a single man should rule over the rights of 99 other men when it came to such commonly understood moral values as teaching children in Kindergarten that homosexuality is okay.

Clearly each man has his speech protected by the Constitution as well as his liberty. As the 1960’s began to unfold, morality would take a back seat to the “Rights of Man” and the “New Frontier” of space and technology.

For over 40 years, the Democratic Party was in solid control of the government of the United States. When school prayer was banned in 1962, the Democratic Party was in control of both chambers of Congress and the U.S. Presidency. When abortion was legalized in 1973, it was their party

that was in control of both chambers of Congress. Only in the presidency will you find more of a party balance over time. The following tables make it very clear where responsibility lies for the moral decline in the United States. It lies firmly as a legacy of the Democratic Party. Only they had the

constitutional power to confront the activist Supreme Courts of Justice Warren’s ban on school prayer and Justice Burger’s legalization of abortion.
