Consider the above data and realize that the 63% of the voters who

attend church overwhelmingly voted for Bush. Yet 37% of those attending church weekly voted for Kerry and 45% of those attending weekly/monthly voted for Kerry. Christians themselves are now not united on the issue of moral values. Another way to view this information is that the less moral

people were, the more they voted for John Kerry in 2004. Or, the more debased people were, the more they voted for Kerry. Clearly the election of 2004 was one based on moral values, yet it is still not as simple as it first appears when you consider the nation’s voters who identify themselves as

“evangelical Christians.” Their vote breakdown 12 might surprise even you.
