Chapter 20: Myth—Politics Doesn’t Matter

I asked God what had happened. He said the leg pain was to remind

me of how pain relates to sex. I was reminded of pain I suffered and how it and Jackie’s pain had both affected our sex life. When a body is in pain, all of its systems work overtime just to deal with the pain; sex is not then an option. If you reflect on the sympathetic nervous system, it is normal that

the body’s S.N.S. will then dampen the sexual drive of the P.N.S.

All bets are off when it comes to sex when there is either physical pain or illness in one of the lovers. In the case of a spouse with a terminal

disease, the other spouse’s S.N.S. will inhibit their sex drive. For example, I personally could not imagine having sex and putting pressure on Jackie’s cancerous pancreas. My desire was to get her healed and not to aggravate her pain, much less cause any accelerated pancreatic problem via sex.

God has built a sex “turn-on” and “turn-off” system into our bodies. Great sex presumes that a couple remains healthy, which is critical in old age. If one lover allows his or her body to degenerate into a dysfunctional state, or incurs a state of pain, illness or disease, sexual activities will decline

fast even to a zero sex state. The healthy partner’s passion might turn into compassion and eventually even divorce. Take care of your body and keep yourself sexually healthy. Quit smoking and other “body abusive” activities. This is also a good reason to avoid immoral sexual activities. Such behavior

is a fast track towards a zero sex future and life of misery. I’ve now almost eliminated two decades of pain with the nutrients that I take. God reminded me of the pain-sex connection with the leg problem. I had almost forgot.

Sex is not a subject that is open to discussion for many individuals. In fact, subjects in human sexuality such as oral sex and masturbation are taboo topics considered too personal and private by most people. You should not discuss marital sex with friends as it belongs as a private matter between you

and your spouse in the confines of your own marriage. Therefore, unless you need sex counseling, your sex life should remain private and between you, your spouse and God. I am thankful to God for His gift of sex and the joy it has brought to my life. It’s my prayer that this sex information will be

a blessing in your own careful study of God’s perspective on sexuality.
