Myth—God Heals Everyone
It is evening of December 8 now and I am at the final area of this
chapter that God wanted me to discuss—the area of instruction, knowledge and nutrition. God says that His people die for lack of instruction and lack of knowledge. So, let’s discuss the area of nutrition and its impact at the cellular level. God has placed inside our body tremendous healing power at
the cellular level. Each cell is akin to a small manufacturing plant. Like the electricity and utilities that keep our homes functioning, our cells require various nutrients so that they can properly function. Literally billions of cells die each day we live; new ones are created. This cycle of cellular death
and life in our bodies keeps us alive. However, if something goes awry at the cellular level, sickness and disease set in. In fact, it is possible that nutrition can make our body friendly to disease. Likewise, it is possible that nutrition can make our body extremely resistant to disease.
A few days ago, I caught a television special on alternative nutrition. One example on the show was a man who had pancreatic cancer and was sent home to die. As he and his wife searched for an alternative healing option, they wound up in the New York City office of an alternative doctor.
These are doctors who use nutraceutical products instead of or in addition to pharmaceutical products. Let me explain. When I talk about nutrition in the cellular sense, I am talking about the nutrition found in vitamins, herbs, greens and other food supplement formulations. Instead of pushing drugs
from pharmaceutical companies, alternative medical doctors specialize in treating the body’s needs at a cellular level with natural nutrients.
When finished, the pancreatic cancer patient left the doctor’s office
with instructions to consume about 100 pills per day. He was also told to take four coffee enemas daily to keep his colon clean. Strangely enough, my research came to similar conclusions and I crafted a daily game plan for Jackie. She ruled out enemas and I had to restrict the pill intake to about 50
per day at a maximum. For someone who never consumed a lot of vitamins, this was a mountain for Jackie to climb. God has given me a couple of insights about this. First, pray for yourself while you are healthy, because when you are sick and on a deathbed—you may have to rely on others. It
may be difficult during those times to pray. Secondly, when sick, it is often very hard to consume any volume of pills. Especially 50-100 per day!
