Myth—God Heals Everyone

If you think it was wrong in God’s eyes to remove Terri’s feeding tube, I want you to show me a single case in the Bible where it took God

fifteen years to heal someone. God doesn’t need hours, days, weeks, months and years to heal anyone. Every case of biblical healing was instantaneous in nature. Yet Terri’s body was kept artificially alive for fifteen years by medical intervention. A body like hers could be kept going for another 40

years if no pathological disease attacks it. Terri lived a God given natural life for 26 years. Then, people who claim to love her, refuse to let her die a God given natural death after eight years of exhaustive medical intervention and seven years of subsequent litigation. Some people even want to keep

her mindless brain damaged body artificially alive indefinitely using medical technology. Is that love? No, it is sick, perverse, and odious. It is the action of spiritually ignorant people who lack a true faith in God. After her feeding tube was removed on March 18, 2005, Congress passed a law to save her by authorizing Federal Court intervention. At one point, Florida’s Governor

even considered a plan to have state agents seize her and reinsert the feeding tube. All the political efforts failed. Can you rejoice for Terri’s new life?

The second time Terri’s feeding tube was removed, Florida passed a

law forcing it to be reinserted; it was declared unconstitutional. There is no reason to involve the government or court in a family’s end of life decision. They will only prolong your grieving process. Many organizations & people have used Terri Schiavo for political purposes; God will repay! Only the

godly love of all family members can release an entrapped spirit-soul and let its artificially fed body die. Was Terri inside her body? Some say yes and some say no. Did it matter? If she was still inside her body, her family and society long ago lost any spiritual perspective about a natural death for her.

They unduly entrapped her spirit-soul on this earth in a body that lacked a cognitive mind, a body artificially kept alive. In the other case, she was long gone and probably wondered why it took so long to stop the artificial means of keeping her earthly shell and pseudo life alive. Yes, a lot of controversy

surrounded the participants in Terri’s real life and death drama. However, there was really only one central truth in the drama. Terri Schiavo’s body was kept artificially alive by means that the CREATOR never intended to be used over a protracted period of time. Without medical intervention, Terri

would have died a natural death 7-15 years earlier in 1-2 weeks. There is a natural [nonintervention] death process of spirits shedding their flesh.
