Myth—God Heals Everyone

“But Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, ‘Be

of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.” Matthew 9:22

“Then he touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your

faith let it be to you.’ ” Matthew 9:29

“Then Jesus answered and said to her, ‘O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.’ And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” Matthew 15:28

“Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.” Mark 10:52

It is not just your faith that matters when it comes to healing prayer. God makes it clear that those who pray for you can influence the outcome. Therefore, join your faith with others who trust in God for the outcome you

need. Again, this doesn’t always get you what you want. However, if you ask anything according to God’s will, it is sure to come true.

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we

ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

Likewise, if you ask anything not in God’s will, it will not come true.

“You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss.” James 4:3

What should you do when you are sick? Follow James’ instructions.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him [this is you] call for the

elders [prayer warriors] of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
