Myth—God Heals Everyone

Virtually everyone in front of Jackie and I on her side of the family

has already died and moved on except one aunt. Jackie also looked forward to moving on and this was an undeniable attribute that impacted her healing. When my small church group laid hands on her, she said the magical words of “thank you Jesus” and that very night began to arise again. The following

two weeks were astonishing to me. Clearly God had touched her body that night and we all knew it. Yet, it was the proverbial last gasp of energy that flowed out of her. I enjoyed watching Jackie have some fun once again.

In our many talks and cries together, Jackie always told me that she did not want to leave me. Yet she persistently prepared my life for her absence. Like her father Archie did for her mother, she prepared me for her death. God prepared my heart for the separation of our flesh.

All of this is tough stuff for me and once again I am back in tears just thinking about the events that took place. At one point, I would estimate that at a minimum there were over 10,000-20,000 people praying for Jackie along with numerous churches. Virtually everyone I came into contact with

was asked if they would have their church, synagogue or mosque pray for Jackie. I even received notice that her name was placed on a saint’s list for prayer in perpetuity. Wow, perpetuity? Well, Jackie was special! That should have given me another clue; she is the only person I know on the list.

Pray earnestly in great faith for your own healing. There is no doubt this helps. You can even wear sackcloth and fast like many biblical people did during times of sickness and grieving. Yet there is still the sovereignty

issue of God’s graciousness and mercy as explained by Moses, King David, and Apostle Paul. Come to God with a loyal heart having walked by His definition of righteousness. That is my best advice to you in these matters in which divine healing is needed and is sought. Simply get as close to God as

you can. True faith begins by accepting the reality into our hearts that we do serve a living God. Here are more verses where faith is an attribute.
