Myth—God Heals Everyone

I remember the moment I got the message to go down to the hospital and lay hands on my good friend Al for his healing. I can’t recall that I had ever laid hands on someone who was on a deathbed before. Al was close to death from hepatitis destroying his liver. My son-in-law James a man of similar

faith, worked with me at the time. I said to him: “James, God gave me the message to go down tonight and pray for Al, do you want to come with?” James responded: “I got the same message, what time do you want to go?”

You might ask exactly how either one of us got a message from

God? It is simple, the Spirit of Yahweh spoke within us as explained by Jesus. Get used to listening to His sweet soft voice and learn to understand when it is He who speaks in you. If it is good, makes complete sense and lines up with the Word, you

can be confident that the voice you hear inside is from God.

“Do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for

it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father [Yahweh] who speaks in you.” Matthew 10:19-20

By the time James and I arrived on the isolation ward that Al was in, he was

looking pretty bad. His skin was darkened as if he had been sunbathing for months and his eyes were yellow. There was little doubt his body was stricken with a deadly disease. Al explained that he was unable to move much and was very weak. He could barely lift his arm up. I asked if his

parish priest had laid hands on his body for divine healing. Al explained that the priest had been there three times and prayed. I ascertained from the conversation that no one had yet laid hands on him for healing, even though many had prayed for him over several weeks. I knew we would be deep into

the Spirit as we laid hands on him and prayed; it meant speaking in tongues. I told Al that when we were done, he would know that hands had been laid on him for divine healing. I also told him to not pay attention to what we were doing or what we were saying. I said: “Close your eyes Al and simply

reach out and grab the healing that God wants you to have. Thank God for your healing, because it is not your time to die.”
