Myth—God Heals Everyone

about these issues or problems in your life. Maybe you feel unlucky and that everything seems to just happen to only you. Frustrated and angry you

might even be lashing out at those who love you. If this sounds like you, then you have a high level of stress in your life and you need to unwind it a little. Norman taught me another lesson that I adopted over two decades ago. It has never failed me once over the years.

Imagine for the moment that all of your troubles, irritations and afflictions in life are in that sack on your back in the form of pots and pans. Each pot and pan represents a serious issue that increases your stress in this

earthly life. Each item represents something over your head and something you just can’t understand or make sense out of. Now imagine that Jesus Christ is standing in front of you and asks you to just take on his yoke so you can have rest. Christ is trying to tell you that there is more to life than what you can realize with your human senses.

In that moment, Christ is also asking that you give him all of your pots and pans, everything that burdens and troubles you in this earthly life. You take one item at a time out of your gunnysack and give it to Christ.

Eventually your gunnysack becomes empty and all the troubles of your life are now taken off of your back. You are not free of problems. However, you now have some heavenly help from God and His Son Jesus.

Jesus said: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest in our Father [God] for your souls.” Matthew 11:29 Paraphrased
