Myth—God Heals Everyone
From the Gnostic Gospel of Philip 1, we read the following:
“Those who say that the Lord died first and then rose up are in error, for he rose up first and then died. If one does not first attain the resurrection will he not die? As God lives, he would
already be dead.” …
“While we are in this world it is fitting for us to acquire the resurrection for ourselves, so that when we strip off the flesh
we may be found in rest.” …
“Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.”
If you can understand why Jackie rose before she died, you will also understand these words of Jesus Christ concerning our entering into life at the point of the spirit-soul leaving our body. It should be sufficient enough
for you to understand that our resurrection will occur at death. The new resurrection body like Christ had will be a gift at a later appointed time.
Jesus said: “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off
and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for
you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into Hell fire.” Matthew 18:8-9
Christ makes it abundantly clear that we enter eternal life at the time
we die. The Gospel of Philip makes it clear that you better get your “life” here while on earth because you won’t get it after you leave the earth. So the essence of life is what lies inside us. Our bodies are like a glove worn on our hand during cold weather. When the hand is inside the glove, the glove
becomes animated and appears to be alive. Take the hand [our spirit-soul] out of the glove [our body] and the glove [our body] becomes lifeless.
