Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe

FACT: Jesus revealed new things about the Sabbath.

Jesus said: “So it is lawful and allowable to do good on the Sabbath days.” Matthew 12:12 AMP

It was the custom of Jesus to teach in the synagogue on the Sabbath day. [Luke 4:16] What do you think he taught about, the social matters of the day or Scripture? It is clear that “teaching the Word” is the pattern to be followed in the New Testament church [and Synagogue]. This was reading

verbatim from Scripture. Jesus would not condone an apostate doctrine like the modern tithe teaching. If you think Jesus would, you do not know him. Listen—the New Testament pattern is very clear; stick to the word of God.

“The voices of the Prophets … are read every Sabbath.”

Acts 13:27 NKJV

“The next Sabbath almost the entire city gathered together to hear the word of God [concerning the attainment

through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God].” Acts 13:44 AMP

The Sabbath was a day in which people gathered together to hear the

word of God. Today, when they gather together for a 10-minute sermon, how much of God’s Word do they get? When they gather in an emotionally charged Word of Faith meeting for 4-6 hours, how much of God’s Word do they get? The answer to both questions is very little. Instead, the culprits in

the pulpits most often will feed itching Christian ears exactly what they want. It will be apostasy. It will not be sound doctrine from God’s Word.

God has one main requirement of believers: To accept Christ in our

hearts in a way that leads us to righteous behavior [true faith in God]. This leads to getting baptized by immersion as a testimony to others that we do have a personal relationship with God [who dwells in our heart]. All other church rules are voluntary. There is no need to worry if you worship God on

the right day. When you are in faith, a daily worship song will rise out of your heart unto God Almighty. You will know that He dwells inside you.
